Name: Carlsen Comics (European comics corporation).
Personal dates: Founded in Denmark in 1899 as P.I.B. by Hjalmar Carlsen (1875-1951) and has since then changed name several times. It has subsidiaries in several European countries. Ongoing.

MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 1991. Stopped in 1995 after 18 issues (the full series that was published from 1988 to 1995 by Marvel contains 38 issues).

In 2019, after World War 3 has ended, a new Tokyo called Neo-Tokyo is built. But things are still far from being stabilized as terrorist cells and secret anti-government groups battle for power. Among the many characters the most often recurring ones are Akira, Shōtarō Kaneda, Kei, and Tetsuo Shima.
