MAIN STORY
The series premiered in 2006. Stopped in 2006 after 52 issues.

The fictional world of the American superheroes is at an end; Superboy has died, and Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman have retired. But the world goes on nevertheless, and criminals are still a problem. For instance, Superman's old adversary, Lex Luthor, announces a program that can give everybody superpowers.

The title refers to the fact that the series was published on a strictly weekly basis over a year spanning from July 2006 to July 2007. It was followed by Countdown that also ran for a full year.
